A unique fruit bowl, hand-made from the extremely rare Huon Pine from Tasmania. This has had minimal finishing in order to maintain the natural beauty of the timber. Huon pines are some of the oldest living organisms on the Earth.

What’s so special about Huon Pine
Huon Pine only grows in South West Tasmania and grows at approximately 1mm per year. Some trees are 2,500 years old. The timber is pale straw coloured when first cut, it ages to a rich honey gold. Woodworkers love it! Felling was stopped in the 1970’s and only fallen trees can be harvested by 3 licensed sawmills. It is a unique and rare timber.
