Huon Pine and Oak Coffee Table

Handmade in Huon Pine and Oak, this is a totally unique coffee/occasional table.

Huon Pine only grows in South West Tasmania and grows at approximately 1mm per year. Some trees are 2,500 years old. The timber is pale straw coloured when first cut, it ages to a rich honey gold. Woodworkers love it! Felling was stopped in the 1970’s and only fallen trees can be harvested by 3 licensed sawmills. It is a unique and rare timber.

The rich honey gold table has handcrafted oak legs and is finished with a hardened oil finish that will give years of practical use, but can always be rejuvenated with just a touch of wax.
